Crocheted Snowman

Hi blog,
I made my first snowman for this year even though there is no snow in Toronto yet.
I crocheted a snowman!!!

Isn’t he cute?
I got the pattern from Lion It is a free pattern.
I just followed the pattern. But I didn’t use the type of yarn they suggested. But still it turned out soooo cute. May be I will hang him on my door knob.

New Scarf ‘ n Cap

In Crochet on October 27, 2010 at 10:14 am

It was october 25 and it was Election day for Toronto. I was having this cheerful pink yarn and an idea to play with.
The idea was to make a scarf and cap all in one. So I started off with creating a skull cap in single crochet and double crochet. I didn’t write down the pattern: too bad for me.
I did a cross-stitch crochet to the long ear flaps.

As you can see, any scarf pattern will go with it. I choose the cross- stitch crochet to create some texture to otherwise plane pink.
Also, added a crochet flower on the crown.
It is so comfortable to wear in a cold day. The pink makes me smile.

The flower is big and cheery, after all it is me.

Pink crochet flower

I had much fun in crocheting these pink flowers.

There are so adorable and addictive. The pink thread is very shiny. I made a lot more than the 5 in the picture. They reminded me of the spring and newly bloomed flowers of spring.
i like pink and purple very much.
Sometime in the future, I may get a chance to combine the pink and purple.
Making crochet flowers is very fulfilling. I find them adorable and instantly satisfying. Considering the time it may take to finish a scarf or a blanket, they are very quick.
Thinking of crocheted flowers, the uses are almost endless. I used the flowers to update the look of my sweaters and blouses. Once I used a crocheted flower to make a greetings card. The recipient was very glad and she still has it.
The can be placed on a glass table to create a small display. I also think about framing some flowers to decorate my walls.

Crocheted Coaster.

I did crocheted a set of 4 coasters using cotton yarn. It was added to my Artfire studio, Someone like it and bought it. I shipped it over the weekend and glad to see that the buyer is happy to have the coasters.
Crocheting is very pleasing to me, especially using self patterning yarns. Because the yarn will create unexpected patterns with the stitches we use. Crocheted coaster
